Musical Bridge between East and West
Hucky Eichelmann, with a career spanning over five decades, is celebrated for his role in uniting Eastern and Western musical traditions.
His repertoire seamlessly blends the cultures of East and West as well as the Classical with the Folkloristic and the Classical with the Popular, earning him the title of "Musical Ambassador between East and West." Beyond performances, his Thai and Asian recordings, including interpretations of King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great's music, are iconic.
Hucky represented Thailand at various important international events. His influence extends globally through collaborations with artists like Ravi Shankar, KITARO, George Winston, Richard Harvey, Nina Corti, Carlos Bonell, Xuefei Yang to name but a few, showcasing his versatility and enduring impact on the global music scene.
Based in Thailand for over forty five years, Hucky has been doubted ‘Godfather of Classical Guitar’ and he has been a role model for young musicians of several generations.
One of Hucky’s major contribution to the country was his pioneering work of music & dance festivals and concert series (Thailand Festival of the Arts, Bangkok International Showcase Series, Bangkok Guitar Fiesta, Bangkok International Guitar Festival & Series a.m.) which helped enriched the cultural landscape in Thailand.
